My country's foreign exchange controls make it hard to send a wire transfer. How else can I move money from my local bank account to Sendana?

If foreign exchange restrictions in your country make wire transfers difficult, there's a simple workaround: local exchanges that convert your local currency into digital US dollars (USDC), which land directly in your Sendana account.

Step 1: Find a local exchange. In Trinidad and Tobago, we recommend Sunshine (exchangesunshine.com). They accept TTD bank transfers and their team walks you through the process over WhatsApp.

Step 2: Copy your Sendana wallet address. Open the left-hand menu in your app, select Wallet Address, and tap Copy.

Step 3: Complete your purchase. Share your wallet address with the exchange and confirm they are sending USDC on the Stellar network. Always double-check this. Funds sent on a different network cannot be recovered.

Once sent, your money typically shows up in your Sendana balance within minutes. As we grow, we'll add recommended exchanges for more countries.
